Attention All Statebound Teams

Per USA Hockey and Paul Furman, NYSAHA State Tournament Director

Effective January 1, 2005
the following criteria must appear on a score sheet for it to be considered valid as a game for state tournament qualification.

1. Prior to the start of the game, all coaches present, from each team, are required to sign the designated area of the scoresheet in order to verify the accuracy of the playing roster, as it appears on the scoresheet, for that game.

2. In addition, all coaches must include their USA Hockey Coaching Education Program (CEP) card number, their CEP level (1 - Initiation (Skill Development), 2 - Associate, 3 - Intermediate, 4 - Advanced, or 5 - Master) and the year their CEP level was attained. The CEP card number, level and year attained shall be printed legibly and next to the signature of the coach.

If you have any questions, please contact the rules committee.

Rules Reminders for ALL Teams and Organizations

Time Outs:

There are NO time outs permitted during GLGHL games.
The only exception to this rule is if there is NO curfew time, then each team is permitted one time out during the game.

Penalty Box Attendants:

Each team is required to supply a penalty box attendant for every game, both home and away. This person should not be a member of the coaching staff, as per USA Hockey coaching is not permitted from the penalty box.

Time and Score Keepers:

The home team must provide both a time keeper and a score keeper (2 people) for each game. These people should possess a knowledge of the game & it's rules. They should also be mature enough to communicate effectively with all game officials.

12 & Under Penalty Times

Just a reminder to all 12 & Under coaches & managers.

Per NYSAHA penalty times for ALL 12 & Under games are as follows:

Minor      - 1 1/2 Minutes
Major      - 3 Minutes
Misconduct - 6 Minutes

The amount of ice time or the skill level of the players has NO effect on these times.

If you have any questions, please contact the rules committee.
