Div. Commissioners Info!
GLGHL Commisioners Info
NOTE: To all Division Commissioners. Below are some examples of spreadsheets you can use to make record keeping and scheduling much easier. It keeps everyone on the same page. Thanks to Mark Gallagher for his efforts the past several years in trying to establish a baseline the league can use for this purpose. The number 1 thing is to get completed schedules together and submit them to me as soon as possible after the scheduling meeting so I can get them entered. I do everything manually, so your cooperation is appreciated. Make sure that the schedule you turn in to me is in the same order as I use on the website, from left to right.
If you look at the "Red Division Sample Spreadsheet" below, there is a tab for Red for Website. Also once a schedule is set, all game numbers are locked in place. If a game needs rescheduling, just change the date/time etc., but not the game number. If there are "Q" games in a division, designate that games number with a "Q" in front of the normal game number. Some teams may only be playing State Q games and not league games, so designate those games as non-league games ( L or NL) If you need to write me, Please remind all your coaches and managers in your divisions that home teams are responsible for sending in game scores using the link to the form below. They must be submitted within 48 hours of completion of the game. The League will implement fines if your divisions teams fail to report on time or get their scoresheets to you on time. If anyone needs to be included as a representative of their team or organization, and wish to be on the GLGHL email list, use the link to the GLGHL Rep Info Form, also below. Duties: You are responsible for your teams. You become a Board Member by being a commissioner. You will have to provide a fax number/email address for receiving faxed scoresheets. You need to check your email frequently to keep on top of issues within your division. You will take the completed schedules at the scheduling meeting and turn them into a spreadsheet for the webmaster so he can place them on the website. You need to have all your teams contact info and they need to have yours including cell numbers. If there are any issues within your division, you will be the one they go to first for help. We don't want the individual teams coming to us with issues unless they have gone through you first. This will eliminate a ton of emails and copies. You then can present to the rest of the board what the issues are and action can be taken then. You will help coordinate the division playoff at the end of the year. Simple stats can be kept on your team's games especially agressive play penalties. You will be responsible to provide a month report about your division at league meetings. |
