Sad News
Hamburb Hawks President Steve Holmes passed away yesterday while jet skiing on Lake Chautauqua. In addition to being a loving son and Husband to Kathie, Father to Becky, Steve was an active Coach and an original and active member of my West Section Staff. Steve was the recipient of NYSAHA Young Leader Award. 
Steve was always there for the West Section, NYSAHA and USA Hockey; and like many of you sacrificed family and work to volunteer.
He will be missed. Please keep Kathie and Becky in your prayers. Click for Obit and arrangements.
An Education Fund has been set up for Steve's 13 year old daughter Becky.

We have just learned of the passing today of Rose Robinson. Rose and Norm, long active in the Girls/Women's Hockey community, were both awarded the 1st Annual GLGHL Founders Award in February at Riverworks during the GLGHL NTB End of Season Tourny. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Robinson Family and the Buffalo Stars Organization. RIP and Godspeed Rose.

Tier II Nationals Lansing Michigan
Amherst Knights lost to Assabet 2-1 in OT of the National Championship Game in Lansing Michigan. So Close. Congrats Girls!
West Seneca finished 1-2 and Cazenovia finished 1-3. Caz qualified for Quaterfinals, West Seneca did not.

GLGHL NTB Tourny At Riverworks! Feb 27-Mar 1.

Saturday night around 7:00PM we will hold an Olympic like Welcoming Ceremony. Each team will be introduced and walk out on to the ice so parents can get pictures from the balcony above. We encourage the girls to dress as a team as they would like. Wear wind suits, jerseys, crazy hats, paint their faces, however they would like.
All of the girls will get a gift for participating and 1st and 2nd place metals will be provided. The winning team in each division will get their Team name engraved on the Gallagher Cup. Teams will be allowed to skate the rink with the cup after their championship game.
